Custom Residential Rough Carpentry | Venice, California
Designed by Frederick Fisher and Partners, the Rialto Residence is a 5,000-square-foot contemporary home organized around an H-shaped plan. The architecture maximizes natural light, creates views into two courtyard gardens, and reduces the home’s visual mass along the street.
T.R. Wurster Construction performed the rough carpentry for the residence, executing the structural framework required to support its open interiors, flexible layout, and connection between indoor and outdoor spaces.
Precision Rough Carpentry
Rough carpentry establishes the structure behind every architectural detail. For the Rialto Residence, TRW translated the design into a precisely framed structure while coordinating the home’s intersecting volumes, expansive openings, and courtyard-facing spaces.
Accurate execution at this stage created the foundation for the home’s cedar siding, cement-plaster exterior, steel and wood windows, concrete and oak flooring, teak casework, and stone finishes.
The TRW Standard
The Rialto Residence reflects T.R. Wurster Construction’s ability to execute complex rough carpentry with accuracy and discipline. Although much of the framing is concealed within the finished home, its precision supports every space, opening, and architectural connection.
